Life Sack Can Solve Drinking Water Issues for the 3rd World

Did you know that the most important and effective discovery in the history of modern medicine was the recognition that safe drinking water could save millions of lives? Although we have come a long way, there are still thousands of people who do not have access to clean water and sanitation.

As part of our most important company values, MG-I supports initiatives that are creative, innovative and most of all, provide an important social benefit. That is why we like to inform on such things like The Life Sack, invented by three industrial engineers- Jung Uk Park, Myeong Hoon Lee, and Dae Youl Lee. It is an ingenious water purification unit designed to serve a double purpose. First it is used as a shipping container for grains and other food staples. When the sack is emptied it can be used to purify water through SODIS (Solar Water Disinfection Process) technology. This filters contaminated water with UV-A-radiation and the bag’s thermal treatment process which works to kill deadly microorganisms and bacteria in water.
This double purpose Life Sack is also ergonomically designed so that it can be worn as a backpack, which makes both the food and water easily transportable from source to community.
