Dedication to the land, generation after generation

Dedication to the land, generation after generation Dedication to the land, generation after generation Dedication to the land, generation after generation Dedication to the land, generation after generation

The J.J. Budaguer biographical documentary film produced by MG-I and Milia Wine Branding Agency, uses inspiring photography to tell the colorful story of a family’s journey and dedication that started with an immigrant’s dream and developed into one of the largest sugar manufacturing companies in Argentina.

Like so many other families that arrived in Argentina in the beginning of the XXth century, the Budaguers built a life by working the fertile lands, in this case of the Tucuman province. After years of work and sacrifice they were able to buy some land and thus seed their dedication into sugar plantations (know as the treasure of Tucuman). Almost a century later the company has 20,000 ha of land, more than 450 workers, has grown to include wheat and soy production, and is quickly diversifying its business into new horizons. Recently bought terrains in fertile lands of the Mendoza wine region have immersed the company into the exciting and emerging world of viniculture.

The leit motivs found in the narrative are those of the values that have become the foundation of the company. Tradition, family, education, hard work, and dedication. Values which have allowed them to prosper and adapt to the changing times and generations.

The film is a rich demonstration of visual metaphors that tie these values with the land and work. Its colorful photography of agricultural processes is a great ally of the story and clearly demonstrates the motivation of working this land, a land that has given so much and a land that is the future for generations to come for J.J.Budaguer.
